Photographs from FODM Members and Friends Featured in the Virginia Wildlife Annual Photography Showcase
Congratulations to three FODM members or friends whose photographs were selected for the 2023 Virginia Wildlife magazine’s annual photography showcase.
Lifetime FODM member Barbara Saffir had three winners. One captured a mating ball of northern watersnakes, the second was of a common eyelash fungus and the third was of cracked creek ice.

FODM member Tim Hostert's photo was of a female hooded merganser with her brood of ducklings.

Randy Streufert had two winners. One was of a northern cardinal in snow and the second was of a disagreement between tundra swans.

For this contest, 422 photographers submitted 1,444 photos. This year's magazine features 183 images.
